Facility Set Up

Position Description Summary:
To assist the SCA team in excellent guest service while handling set up of facility for every program inclusive of sound and lighting. To ensure that all buildings and grounds provide a safe, clean and attractive environment for all users. Cross train in other areas so to increase service as well as skill set.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assures all facility users have a floor diagram that is understandable 1 week prior to arrival
- Assure requested set up will be completed on time by physically arranging and preparing items
- Maintains tables, chairs by cleaning after each use, then sanitizing
- Each Room must be completely sanitized with the electro static Sprayer (Covid Cleaning Policy) after use
- Close of business requires the entire facility to be sanitized by this position
- Provides maintenance when needed
- Ensure building facility users will have their event set up with all their requested items from their invoice/file/notes
- Meet with Facility Users when necessary
- Assures requests for accessories (such as microphones and podium) and linens will be set up and users are aware of how to use them
- Every room will contain a hand sanitizer, paper towel and bleach/water solution bottle
- May be needed to run AV/Tech/Lighting for users
- Open and close the building to the users when necessary
- Maintains the order/cleanliness of the grounds after an outside event such that signage, rented equipment, and debris are properly handled
- Ensure timely placement of necessary event signage in a timely manner
- Demonstrates to users how to use the sound system
- Works with the Marketing Director when signs must be newly ordered or updated
- Walks the grounds regularly to ascertain needs and safety issues
- Assists fire safety, electrical, plumbing, and or air conditioning monitoring that are required
- Ensures that services such as waste removal, pest control, cleaning are provided and completed when needed
- Ensures that stored chemical products/supplies are sealed, clearly labeled, and in the appropriate storage area. Monitor levels of these items
- Responds to building and grounds emergencies as necessary
- Maintains a flexible schedule to assist when customer usage is heavy
- Maintains an appropriate inventory of first aid, cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies
- May be asked to supervise, schedule contractors under the direction of Executive Director
- Works with team regarding necessary purchases, storage, distribution and reordering when necessary
- Provides input regarding planning projects for the buildings, equipment and grounds
- Assists reception duties of greeting guests, answering the phone, making reservations, following up on requests when needed, bar service
- Performs other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred, college courses encouraged or related experience
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Physical Requirements:
