Sanibel Shines: A Tree Lighting Tradition

Sanibel Shines: A Tree Lighting Tradition!

On Saturday, November 28, at 5:30 p.m. the City of Sanibel will host Sanibel Shines: A Tree Lighting Tradition at Sanibel Community Park, with additional festivities planned at the Sanibel Community House.

Our annual Tree Lighting Celebration has quickly become one of Sanibel’s favorite holiday traditions, bringing together residents, families, and visitors for an evening of community spirit and holiday cheer. Last year’s event welcomed more than 900 attendees, and we’re looking forward to creating an even more memorable celebration this year!

We’re planning a festive evening centered around our traditional tree lighting, with hopes of including holiday entertainment, photo booths, children’s activities, light refreshments, and plenty of seasonal surprises.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. at Sanibel Community Park. The celebration continues at the Sanibel Community House until 8:30 p.m.

Join us as we light up the island — celebrating community, connection, and the magic of the holiday season!
