Join us at The Community House for a lesson by Paulette Boudreau in the beautiful art of watercolor painting!

Painting with Paulette is fast-moving, encouraging, and definitely fun! You’ll start by getting friendly with watercolor — making swatches, playing with brushstrokes, and mixing color. Then you dive in. Your paper comes pre-drawn with your fish, and the palette is curated so you can focus on process, not guesswork.

Paulette will show you how to work with the water, not against it, encouraging you to loosen up and trust the magic. This class is perfect for beginners or for anybody who needs permission to play.

All supplies are included. You will be using professional grade watercolor paints, brushes, and paper. As an additional benefit to students, feel free to bring in your own supplies and Paulette can review them for you, before or after class.

About Paulette Boudreau:

Paulette Boudreau is a fine art watercolorist celebrating tropical environments and the creatures that call them home. A Ringling School of Art and Design graduate, she spent a rewarding career as an Art Director and Graphic Designer before returning to Florida in 2013 to begin her next chapter as a full-time artist.

Teaching for over a decade, Paulette brings energy and excitement to every class. Her work is known for its bright, colorful, “happy tropical” style — the kind that makes you smile. She exhibits throughout Southwest Florida, with Sanibel as her primary in-person venue since Hurricane Ian. You can also find her on FaceBook, where she hosts a popular monthly online auction.

Whether she’s painting or teaching, Paulette’s goal is simple: create work — and experiences — that are smile-worthy.
