DESCRIPTION:Islanders\, friends and family are invited to the community-wide FISH of SANCAP Friendly Faces Luncheon! \nNaples Compost\, will join to discuss the importance of composting and provide and overview of the services they provide in our area. \n \nFood waste is rampant\, and the statistics are staggering. 1.3 billion tons of food are wasted totaling a loss of $1\,000\,000\,000\,000. Instead of wasting the scraps in land-fills and throwing away trillions of dollars\, Naple Compost can take your food scraps and turn it back into nutrient rich/fertile soil that can be used by yourself or farmers to improve crop growth. \n• Friendly Faces is offered in person at the Sanibel Community House and virtually by Zoom. \n• The cost of the luncheon\, provided by community partner Sanibel Deli\, is complimentary to guests – meal selections for in-person guests will be provided upon RSVP \n• Space is limited\, please RSVP early! \n• Future Friendly Faces luncheons are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month throughout 2024 \nRSVP:\nTo Erika Broyles\, FISH\nBy June 7\n239-472-4772\nerika@fishofsancap.org

DESCRIPTION:Let’s get everyone prepared! \n \nBe Red Cross Ready: Floods\, hurricanes and wildfires are becoming more frequent and can be devastating to our loved ones\, homes and communities. Hosted by The American Red Cross\, this program is a national\, standardized\, free preparedness education curriculum for adults. The program is designed to help people understand\, prepare for\, and respond appropriately to disasters such as hurricanes.  Learn simple steps you can take now to help prepare and protect your family this hurricane season. \n \nHands Only CPR  is a free\, easy to learn 30-minute presentation designed to teach individuals how to deliver the hands-only technique for CPR. Participants learn how to check for consciousness\, call 911 and give continuous chest compressions. CPR training certification is not provided through this course.  \nTo register\, please contact info@sanibelcommunityhouse.net
