1 Hour – All Levels Yoga
This accessible yoga class will incorporate fundamentals of basic yoga asanas(poses). Details and specifics about the poses & their benefits, range of motion exercises, stretching, strengthening, pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation to refresh and energize. Improve posture, breath, and sense of well-being. Participants will gradually improve posture, increase strength, and flexibility, calm the nervous system, release deep patterns of tension and experience the body/mind connection. Benefits continue off the mat into your daily life by reducing the risk of injury and help with everyday tasks. Alignment principles & prop use for adaptations are always given for the individual within group setting. Learn how to safely create yoga postures (asanas) with YOUR body. Great class for beginners as well as those used to more vigorous yoga styles.

Dr. Susan Pataky (Sanibel Yoga) has been teaching yoga on Sanibel & Captiva for 15yrs and throughout the Northeast since 1979. She has a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) and is a member of the IAYT(International Association of Yoga Therapists). Her yoga studio was located on Palm Ridge Rd. SCA Classes are held Tuesday’s and Thursday’s @10am
