SCA Facility Usage Information
Our soon to be renovated, historic facility is available for members. Memberships are affordable and cover a calendar year. Three large rooms accommodate many people, and the updated kitchen facilities are caterer friendly with both a large scale warmer and large refrigerator and freezer. Tables and chairs are provided. Linen service is available at a nominal rate, please inquire!
Our reasonable Shared Facility User rates are based on less than our cost of providing the facility for the time period required. We also offer set-up and break down services; or the facility renter may do it themselves. Security deposit is required.
Available with the inside facility use are:
- twenty-five 5′ round tables
- fifty-two 30″ X 8′ banquet tables
- six 30″ x 6′ banquet tables
- 250 upholstered chairs
- 75 sturdy plastic chairs.
Also included is the use of our sound system in whichever room may be under rental.
We do not allow open/uncovered candles, tape, tacks, or nails on any part of facility. 3M strips or other paint safe wall fixtures are permissible.
Due to City Ordinance. Placement of “captive balloons” anywhere on the exterior grounds of the Community House is not permitted. This includes any lighter-than-air balloon secured by a string or tether. Sanibel Ordinance #106-112, Section (8) prohibits captive balloons anywhere within the City of Sanibel.
Our Auditorium is 55′ X 60′ with a 14′ wide raised stage at one end. The 13′ high ceiling has dimmable florescent light fixtures. It also features a 24′ – 8 can theatrical track light for the stage.
Newly carpeted and painted, it is equipped with both a PA system and large projection screen. An oak parquet dance floor (18′ x 24′) is available to rent.
This lovely room holds many people and is ideal for a large party or meeting.
Our 1300 square foot Middle Room has undergone a historic renovation. The cove ceiling with controlled recessed lighting and wood floor is suitable for a formal, business or social event.
Equipped with a projection screen this room is ideal for business presentations or club speakers. The acoustical door opens up, joining this room with the North Room for larger events.
The North Room, or front room, is the original Community House built in 1926. In 1999 this beautiful North Room had a complete historic renovation. The cathedral pickled oak ceiling with controlled recessed lighting and a beautiful wood floor make any occasion special.
The two fireplaces, although not usable, are perfect for making the room cozy and inviting. This North Room is approximately 1200 square feet. When the acoustical door opens up to join this room with the Middle Room the accommodations are large enough for 100 people to sit down for dinner. Plus enough room for a band and for dancing!
